OK, so here's the issue. I updated my graphics card so I can actually PLAY the damn games and now they wont launch. Period. I accidentally closed out the steam update last night if that has anything to do with it, but I click on the shortcuts, it says it will launch, and it doesn't. No error code or anything. Just flat out doesn't. I've tried reinstalling it, and doesn't work. I will again for safe measures but any sort of help would be appreciated.

Update: Now I have issues with tf2 as well. It comes up on a small screen and I skip the Valve Logo and the game crashes. So I launch it again and let it play. It still crashes.

I only had a graphics card built into the actual computer, and I installed an extra one so I can actually play l4d. I'm not technology smart, so I'm sorry If I didn't help at all.
what is the actual gpu you installed

Vandamguy

well its still a good start to know you updated your graphics card  Smile

mister mean wants to know if you plugged your monitor into the new gfx card first  lol.. but i digress.

like d said , what graphics card are you using now ?
did you install new drivers for it ?

from your original problem description it sounds like your games dont know you upgraded the video megahurtz and are still making calls to your old drivers , thus crash.
Derp. I didn't install the drivers. Everything is set now, and l4d2 kicks ass XD
