Might as well drop another $20 and get a HD that won't end up in the "Fucking Seagate" thread.

Save 10 bucks and buy it at amazon.

Why are you getting the thermal compound?

I don't see an extra cooler there.

AMD wants you to use their cooler or it voids the warranty and their cooler comes with a pad.

You can actually it's just a pain in the ass. I got arctic 5 and then figured it wasn't worth the hassle and just used all stock.

Also piggy backing on this thread. I think what I am going to do is to get an i5 and new motherboard and then give my old mobo and chip to my sister to start her computer. Is this a good plan? Going from AMD 965 C2 (old revision kinda shitty) to an i5 which tom's hardware thinks is the best chip ever and is pretty affordable. Then my old parts go to good use starting my sister off on her first built computer.

Let me know if this plan is flawed.
Has she had sex before? If she has then she understands the simple plug into right socket theory. If not, well... Go for it anyway, what the worst that can happen?
I'd be building it for her. I'd probably order a $50 case with the mobo and chip and then start it when I'm working on mine, then my mom can order the RAM, HD, video card and cd-drive.
