Alright, as some of you may know I'm gonna be getting a desktop soon. However, I'm not getting a custom build so this isn't about that. What this is about, however, is new accessories. I'm gonna be needing a monitor, keyboard, webcam, and headset. I just got a new mouse so I'm good with that. Any input would be appreciated.
keyboards dont matter

razor is always good for gaming mice

any webcam will do

desk mics last longer than headsets
mad QQ reply incoming, just for lulz.

Keyboards matter because some can't deal with lots of keys being pressed @ once

razor makes those little motor bikes for kids

razer makes wtf expensive mice

if you're not retarded and don't roll over the cord 24/7 headsets will last forever
Ok, now serious reply =x

Do you have any preferences? Do you want a keyboard with backlighting?

I've got a Saitek Eclipse II that I've had for a while now and I love it, it seems out or production now, but It's similar to this

Who uses webcams, rly?

Headsets rule if you're not dumb and don't roll over the cord w/ chair. I've had the same Plaintronics Audio.90 headset since like, 2002 Almost like these

With LCD's you should match your monitor's native res to a res your video card can handle, it would be silly to get a fill 1920x1080 monitor and have a video card that can't do half of that. I've got a nice 23" 1080p screen with a 2ms response time and 40,000:1 contrast ratio
It's sexy and has a solid plastic panel over the LCD surface so you can't fuck it up. Makes cleaning the sucker a breeze.

60 dollars isn't very expensive for a mouse that lasted over 6 years
Razer products look amazing and generally perform well but are stupidly expensive. For mice, I find the DeathAdder to be just about perfect in anything I could expect from a mouse. I've used the Copperhead (or was it Diamondback) and it was so-so. I've got a Lycosa keyboard which is pretty swell but collects dust pretty badly and doesn't have that nifty screen the Logitech G-whatever has.

It's not really my place to say what you do or don't need, but I seriously doubt you'll need a webcam. Video chatting is really gimmicky and I never do it anymore. Also my webcam quiets the input from my microphone, which is a real fucking nuisance (reminds me, never ever buy any HP product).

For headsets, the Plantronics Gamecoms are really swell. I've had two or three and put them through very intense fucking use and they performed admirably, with their plastic casing breaking after several hundred hours of use each. That might not sound great, but I've had Altec Lansing and Microsoft headsets that have lasted less than a month each. I've currently got the Razer Carcharias, which I really like since the cable is fabric insulated and doesn't tangle that easily. Oh, and everyone says to avoid USB headsets; I must concur with them.
g500 and deathadder are the same price except deathadder doesnt suck. razer has some higher-end stuff sure, but most people really have no business spending that much on computer mice

ive had this pos since like windows 97

just sayin, if youre tryin to save money, you dont need to indulge on a really sweet keyboard.

it owns ive spilled at least 3 gallons of combined fluids on it for the time ive had it and it still works perfectly.  and it also used to be my dads who probably got it from somebody else because he never buys anything new.  the model came out in 94 so this shit is probably 15 years old.

and plus since it splits in the middle it accommodates my massive pythons getting in the way

That headset Kirby linked is badass. I have them, and they are awesome.
Thanks for the input, everyone. Only reason I'm getting a webcam is because my parents want one to videochat me with, so they're getting this old one and I'm getting a new one.
Price ranges are as follows.
$200-$300 for monitor
$150-$200 for keyboard (If it's a nice one I'll spend a little extra of my own money on it)
$100-$150 for webcam
$100-$150 for headset (Same with keyboard, I'd be willing to spend a bit extra on it)
Also Kirby I am liking the stuff you've been linking to.

No wonder it takes you so long to reply, it takes you like 5 minutes just to find the right key
Jesus H. Christ that is wayy way too much money to be spending on each part. Want my suggestions?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6824236050 My monitor. It owns. $150.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6826153043 My headset. It owns. $80.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6826153055 My mouse. It owns. $60.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6823114004 My keyboard. It owns. $75, which I would normally say is too much for a keyboard but $150-$200? Holy fuck.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6826104316 Very standard fare for webcams. I just cannot fathom spending over $100 for any webcam, especially if it's just for chatting your folks.

yeah $800 could build a new fuckin computer man

headset - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6826104281 - friend has this, says it owns
mouse - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6826104261 - my current mouse, but don't get this if you use the palm grip for mice
keyboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6823126053 - you can't really justify this, but there's a youtube plugin for the screen
