Alright, I'm tired of begging people across Steam to play some Spectromancer with me, so here. Somebody. Anybody. Pick up the demo, try it out, then play me. It's mad fun for the TCG vets, and will probably appeal to the TBS guys out there.

Key points here
  • A card based system that isn't (completely, for most) based on luck
  • A game where you're not just playing your side of the table; complex player interaction is key to the long run
  • Play it it's awesome and you should play it because you love me

bump this when its on sale and ill get in. 15 bucks is a bit much to play for a day or two
The demo is multiplayer, but you'll only have access to one class (Illusion. Sorta anti-aggressive class).
Shit is hella good, and 90% of you probably now own it from the indie packs of thanksgiving/christmas.  Play it.
Might got this  Wink
On my Friends List are the three coolest people in the world.

We have enough for a solid tournament now.
Probably gonna get it in the pack before the sale is over.
I suck at this game.
A new expansion for Spectromancer is out. Now you can play with Gobbies, with Time, or with Yourself.

Oh, and you can build your own deck too, I guess.

10bux to get. 20bux for the package deal.

So what do the new classes do?
  • Chronomancer screws around with attacks and plays, often giving you an extra opportunity to play cards or taking away your opponent's turn. Some cards boost the amount of times a card attacks. Hasten, in particular, makes one of your creatures immediately attack everything (like Thundercloud or Forest Sprite). It also has a bit of self-managain
  • Goblins are cowardly creatures, often jumping slots each turn or when certain conditions arise, allowing you to get better board control. They also have one creature which outright destroys cards of your opponent's if it gets a hit in. There's also some extra swarm support and good AoE.
  • Mad Hermit gets a Magic Bunny if he doesn't have one, and the bunny grows bigger every turn. The cards in the class work with the bunny to some degree. Also there's plenty of direct damage and one Angry, Angry Bear.

I can make a custom deck, now?
In the expansion, yeah. You're allowed to build decks to one class only, and you can even participate in draft play.

But I already put my 10bux into Duels of the Plainswalkers 2012, and it is way more popular...
Fuck you. Need I remind you that Spectromancer was designed by Richard Garfield? After Magic? Making this, by way of progression, a much better and more intelligently designed game. It's worth the 10 (or 20 for anyone who didn't jump on the saleswagon earlier), more than DotP's static, linearly designed decks will ever get you.
