I'm actually interested in this one.  The first one was a good time, but the second was just more of the same.  I got bored of it part way through and never went back.  With new characters, settings, baddies, and feel, I think it's a very interesting way to continue the franchise, without just constantly rehashing Rapture.
Bioshock 2 got more interesting gameplay wise because the further you got the more a Big Daddy you felt. (At first, Little Sister defending is just hard and not fun at all, but later on you can take way more punishment and dish more damage like a real Big Daddy, instead of being someone who feels like they're not wearing the suit at all.)

I think Ken Levine is saying he's not having this relate to Bioshock at all, but it probably is (if only in mentions of "I heard that Andrew Ryan is trying to do the same thing as us except underwater) or we meet a young Andrew Ryan or something. I mean, the game's been in development for a long time and nobody's known anything about it. The demos they show will not be related to the story whatsoever, etc. etc.
From that trailer, it makes me think it's literally the same game except in the air. The big-daddy-esque machine that was earlier in the trailer just doesn't help my worries.

troublesome maybe karth, but its the most the devs could have done.  there isnt going to be a way to completely change the game without ruining the spirit of it.  and i think people might be sick of rapture by now.

although yes, the story seems to be rehashed at this point, there really isnt a way to tell from the teaser.

also the steampunk setting makes me pop a stiffy.
Sort of Want, Id rather see a bustling working city where you do things *and* get into fights ala Deus Ex, without the sense of steampunk ruin that bioshock had
Want much more than the other 2, but we'll see if it's enough.  The setting and era should provide for some interesting stuff.
As much as the whole Airship, city in the sky stuff appeals to me... I'm gonna miss Rapture.. As many flaws as Bioshock 2 had (... Ignoring Tablet Incompatibility, unstable DX10, and similar problems) I can't really blame them too much, too many people were screaming for multi-player. (Look what Fan service does! Bah!)

Still, I suppose there's some draw to it, it's what early 1900s? Probably going to be more reliant on Plasmids (Or whatever the equivalent is) yay to another level of fire -.=.- The thing that's probably going to cause problems is Rapture was independent, judging from the cluster fuck of US flags, it's gonna be heavy on patriotism.

Oh well, nothing dies quick and painless in the game industry right? Look at sonic..
The biggest problem I have here is that the big daddies no longer fit the atmosphere. I really hope they changed up the artwork to reflect the new setting. I mean air daddies should be aerodynamic and shit.
Watched.the trailer last night. Very cool and different.
to think, in the Sea there's a Good sum of early big Daddys wandering around in the deep blue Tongue
As long as the story holds as much emotional depth as the first two games, I'm ok with this. God help them if there are a ton of jumping puzzles though. I've always hated them.

this, although i don't mind jumping puzzles so long as they're clever.

Or would they do the opposite, Slim Mama's?

People don't know shit about jumping puzzles if they haven't attempted the jump quests in Maplestory.

[/quote]The one to fight Zakum is not only mandatory, but quite possibly the most frustrating one out of all of them.
BIOSHOCK INFINITE - Official gameplay trailer - PC | PS3 | Xbox 360

The first ten minutes of Bioshock 3. I'm lookin' forward to it greatly.
obviously scripted but seems to be in-game, and it looks nice and storyline already has me interested

Agreed. I don't care about it being scripted, as long as it has a good presentation value. That, and like you said, a good story.
I don't know about this. I don't think this will feel right.
