I'm trying to find out if there is a program that can make something like a good video intro for stuff on youtube. Anyone know of any?
....what?
Uh, if you mean good video editing software, Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas are the most popular and versatile choices. However, they're pretty much professional-level tools, and as such they can be frustratingly difficult to get used to using. I just torrented bought Cyberlink Powerdirector based off of some really good reviews that stated it was intuitive and easy to use. I'll let you know if it backs up those claims.

Or you could, you know, use Windows movie maker. Just sayin'. It's free.
Well I have editing software, but basically I just need a short animation prior to it (like the Gametrailers splash that starts off all their videos, or IGN's). Granted I could maybe try that in Sony Vegas or the like, but that might be a bit difficult right?
Sounds like you want After Effects or something like it.
x2 for After Effects, but expect a learning curve.

If you're lazy, you can always try Windows Movie Maker.
vegas is fairly easy to use for editing if youre not retarded, but its still no walk in the park.

but i think maybe after effects will help you with fancy stuff with an intro.
Windows Movie Maker
If you're looking for something like this:

After Effects is your best bet.
