My current logitech wireless headset is dying on me, so I need something to replace it.
I need something that will sound good for gaming and for music. I could get headphones instead and just use my webcam mic, but I don't think that would be the best solution.
Thanks!
or get headphones AND a decent stand mic
I have the Microsoft LifeChat XL-3000 and it's great.
I love the quality of the sound and the mic is one of the best i've ever used.
Also it was cheap

Let's keep it under $100 for now.

Yeah but that's the 3.5mm version, as opposed to the USB one. Still works, but I like having multiple audio devices so I can play music on my speakers and use voice chat on my headset ;x
Turtle Beach AK-R8's. 7.1 surround, tooth rattling bass, and nice mic to boot.
I'm currently using my spare headset with a mic jack, and my mic can't be detected... I'm thinking that the mic jack on the computer case might not be working.
:-\
The one me and At0m love keeps going on sale at Newegg, it was $20 a few days ago.

I'll keep my eye out.

I plugged it into the rear port, but it still didn't work... So I downloaded some audio drivers from the Asus website and it's working now. Time to see how well it works in-game.
Best ones that I have owned so far...
Logitech G35. I am a big fan of their g series and their other gear is pretty high quality. I currently own the G19, G9, G940 I have no regrets with any of those items.
Sound quality is nice and the headphones feel light on my head, but prob the best part for me is that the cups are big enough to fit your whole ear in them so no pinching or smushing. As for voice quality you guys would have to tell me what the receiving end is like. Plus it has a voice changer built in it... lol.
It actually seems they have a rebate going on atm...
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-7-1-Chann...B001O5CCQK comes out to $74 damn that's nice.
yeah G35 is nice, i would get those if my sennheiser headphones broke. my friends who have them like them a lot
plus logitech owns in general. love my G9x, G15, and desk mic. jealous of your G19 war
and i would be jealous of your G940 if i ever played a game that could use them
