Just wondering if anyone has taken a look at this. And yes I know the release is ways away.

I don't do MMOS, but that looks really kinda fun.

I am very excited about this game, that is all.

Saw demos of this a while ago.  Reminded me a ton of the antlion part of HL2, which the giant thumpers that keep them at bay.

I don't really do MMOs though.

Also, could the female character on the home page be showing any more of her butt legally?

If they fix the atrocious scaling issues from borderlands this looks like it could be very good.

This could be good, but being an MMO, I am much more sceptical about it.  MMO's are rarely good for me anymore.

Well fear not in one of the videos on their site it says that it will be free for a period of time

Two important things that haven't been mentioned here yet:

1. It's definitely going to be free to play.

2. It's being made by a former lead developer of WOW and a former lead designer of Tribes.

The second part makes me happy, the first scares me. I remember a story from when they were beta testing tribes 1 and someone figured out how to Skii, and reported it as a bug.

Hey that's pretty cool, lets not fix it. Tribes without skiing is like Quake without bunny hopping

yeah wow devs are tightasses about bugs, wallclimbing and all the cool ways to get to unfinished areas have been removed

Free FPS MMO? Yes I am excited for this. I'm curious how expansive it's going to be though if the entire thing will be free though. If it's free to download and free to play, but it's also a MMO with persistent events going on, how are they not going to pull a APB and go bankrupt? (though, if that does happen, at least you aren't $50 down the drain.)

Microtransactions are a force to be reckoned with. Back when I used to play Maplestory it pulled in a lot of money and you saw people with cash shop items all the time. Just looked up numbers and in 2008 it estimated $150-$500 million total that year.

APB should have used Ads, I mean its like GTA, you're in a city, it would be normal for there to be billboards and what not, just blend it with the art style and rake money in that way.
