Kay so I'm living up to my member title. My computer gives me no problems at all since last match, until today when we have to play again. Woke up this morning (computer was working perfectly fine the night before), turned on the computer--nothing happens. Nothing at all. I simply cannot get my computer to start. Checked the power cord, checked the outlet, both fine. Tried unplugging one of my video cards in case it was a power consumption issue, no luck. Here's what I'm thinking right now, but I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Could it be:
Broken power button/Unseated header cable? I don't know what it looks like or where it plugs in though.
Dead PSU? I wouldn't know how to identify if it was dead, suffice to say there was no smoke. It always ran pretty warm though, averaging 65C.

And that's all I can think of. I'm having a couple tech-skilled people take a look at it today, hopefully I'll be on for tonight. But I kind of doubt it.

Well, the computer is up and running again. Check below for the newest shitstorm.
I'm going back to my theory on the phone of power supply.

Sounds like it was having a problem and would occasionally hiccup and die, now it's simply dead.

The PSU that's currently mounted inside my case (Have dual PSU's) replaced one that did the same thing.

I have an extra PSU you could borrow/buy next weekend.

I might just do that. What's the power capacity on it? And please tell me it's modular :'
Fixed. I still don't know what the problem was, but some friends and I reseated the RAM, moved around the video cards, and it just magically started working. What the fuck the fuck this.
Power Supply!

Wait, now you need to duel Versus

Well, we tried a few different things. What happened first is that I ran Crysis and was met with godawful (<10) framerate. Tried TF2 and L4D2, similar problems. I installed the beta drivers Spore linked me, no dice. Tried reinstalling the old drivers, still nope. Thought it could have been a bad card, tried just one, then just the other, still crappy performance (It actually got better with one card as compared to SLI). Then we started to think it was a processor issue and ran Prime95. Took it like a champion at 100% usage; the processor is fine. So we basically don't know what's wrong.
I believe its 750 or 800w True, but its not modular, all the cables are fixed, but it is set up for SLI and everything, has about a years worth of use on it
Well, now it's not recognizing any video card plugged into the second PCI slot at all. I think at this point I have no choice but to reformat and reinstall Win7. If that doesn't fix my problems, then I have no other option than to scrap my $2000 computer, since it has no utility to me outside of being an expensive word processor. Maybe I'll build a new computer, maybe I'll give up on PC gaming. The next few days will probably decide that.

It should all be under warranty

I dunno man, it's just frustrating. I know it's probably just because things seem bad right now that I'm jumping to those thoughts but...no matter how you slice it, my ~$1800 rig isn't performing as intended, for more or less no reason. I still have no idea why it was acting up in the first place, let alone what's going on now with the video. And even though I ask my friends or post help threads here on on Reddit, well...I'm utterly alone in trying to solve this. And nothing seems to do anything. My parents basically offered to pay to build a completely new identical rig, but at this point the disillusionment this experience has caused me makes me not even want to reattempt the whole thing.

Anyways. Going to reformat. Removing all my documents and torrents; Steam stuff doesn't matter so much.
In all seriousness eightball, you should at least try. If the parts are still under warranty, try and find out what you need to rebuy/RMA and what you can salvage. Maybe you can get a single Video card instead of two cards to SLI (since that seemed to be an indicator of a large pile of problems), maybe all you need is a new motherboard.

I don't know, it'd just be sad to see a good member of this gaming community leave.

Mmm, don't worry about that. Even if my gaming days were to end, I'd still stay for the camaraderie. I'll do some more work later on (after my Biology midterm is done) to determine what needs replacing. Starting the transfer of 400GB of stuff, yikes.
