Be Right Back, Uninstalling

For almost a year now, Kirby has been providing us the download FTP server for the TF2 servers, which has been immensely helpful in keeping populations on custom maps as it can serve files much faster than the back-up server which hosts these forums.

This server also serves to provide us with mumble and the idle/highlander server.


He's run into a bit of problems and won't be able to pay for the server (possibly for a few months), and if we can't step up to help, it will disappear mid November when the billing period comes due.

I have personally tossed in $20, if we can get up to something like $100 - $140 that should be more than enough to take the bite off server costs for the next two to three months.

Paypal seems to be acting wonky right now, I had to log in 7 times to be able to transfer my accounts balance from versus/caff/eightball's donations to my NFO coffer.


If you don't like Paypal and are comfortable using your CC online, NFO also supports a direct donate to my coffer fund via credit card (They are a processing merchant) option that I forgot about as well. (This is actually preferable for me, as it saves me the step of moving the funds from PayPal to NFO directly.)

I sorta need a car after this morning, and I'm going to be seeing some semi-hefty fines in the next month as well. So every little bit helps me make sure I don't need to drop the server.


Right now there's exactly $60 in my NFO coffer, the server is $65 a month at it's current settings (it will go back to $35/mo after the highlander tournie is over, it's been beefed up to make head room for a TF2 server, VoIP and Fast DL), so we're good for one month , I can eat the other $5.

I think I'll deposit some money to the bank tomorrow, I'll try and throw 10 or 20 bucks your way.

Contributed $20, can put up a bit more if we scrape bottom on the deadline.

Soon as I can get some time and money to myself, I'll donate 40.

i'm in for 50 come thursday. Wife put dinner on my card without me knowing  :p

I've been moving the donations from my PayPal account every hour or so, straight to my NFO coffer, where they are not removable. Right now (Assuming the highlander tournie lasts one more billing cycle, and I can drop the server back down to $35/mo after that) we're set for a fast DL box for half a year.

Donated all the money i had on PayPal (no kidding)

I'll try to to deposit later this week to see how much else i can donate.

Also, when this is solved we should keep the donations on mind so people can donate to the servers and rent a bigger box :x

That was all i had on my paypal account. Since i can't assign a Chilean Credit Card i must ask my dad to put money on my PayPal.. i'll probably do it this week (As long as they pay me soon :<)

I was the ninja. After all the good times and free games that I've won here, it was the least I could do. I don't play TF2 much these days, but maybe when I finally get around to fixing my rig I can play more often.
