Thought I might put my understanding of the GECK to use. A few people have expressed ideas for some modding and I've got a few so, here's a list. And, for simplicity I'd prefer future ideas get posted here.

Key:
Green: DONE
Blue: Working on it
Red: ABANDONED

Realistic/Cannon Mod - Things that are realistic or cannon of the Fallout universe will go here.
  • Jet Stimulant Effect - In Fallout, Jet has been used as two things a Stimulant and a Hallucinogenic. So, with this (in hardcore mode) Jet (and jet like compounds) will take away from sleep deprivation.
  • Talking Deathclaws
  • Explosives that explode when shot (Mines already did, fixed appropriate ammo. (EG Mini-Nukes and C4 won't explode when shot))
  • Auto-Night Vision Scopes on Sniper Rifles (Similar to the Night Vision effect on the Varmint Rifle Scope)
  • Portable Bed Roll? (Maybe)
  • Unique weapons/armor? (Maybe)
  • NO MORE HUMAN NPCs, the facegen is broken in more ways than a pre-beta game
  • A Suit that stops radiation all together (It Slowly removes rads and heals Big Grin)
  • Fixing the Stealth suit so it functions like the one in Operation Anchorage

I'm open to suggestions people, when it's finished I'll release a version.

Release History:
Version 1 - Initial Release
you should put radioactive mudcrabs in there
Technically, the talking deathclaws are dead minus Goris.

I just like them.

but...but... that's no fun.  How can you have any fun if nothing explodes in a gory mess?

I'm not 100% sure on this but it may be possible to beat the game (Though not a "good" ending) without killing (Via Speech, Science, Barter, etc. checks)

Yea, but its do-able, ditto for Fallout 1 and 2, and in both 1 and 2 you can talk your way through a fair amount of the major and minor side quests as well

I do remember talking quite a bit in two, as I was playing a good guy fist only character my first run through, and couldn't kill shit at the start. It always made me laugh how normal responses were a sentence or two, but the speech skill to avoid something involved like 14 verbose paragraphs.

there's so much shit you can talk your way out of in NV, i think the only stuff you cant really is the last boss, but if i recall you couldnt get past horrigan in 2 without killing him either so w/e

i actually finished a quest where you're supposed to torture a guy without doing a single point of damage, that owns imo

Yes and No, a non violent character can get the squad of enclave soldiers to fight for them and/or activate the turrets, and just let them do the work for him

yeah, but in my opinion that's just as bad as killing him yourself. as a direct result of your actions someone died

also you could probably just get a companion to kill the last boss but that might be difficult because jesus shit is he hard

:o :o :o :o :o :o CONFIRMED YOU CAN TALK YOUR WAY OUT OF THE LAST BOSS WITH 100 SPEECH

Yeah if you play for legion you can get the general to run away with 100 speech
you can convince the legate that taking the dam would stretch the legion too thin and put them in the same situation ncr is in
Talking in the other thread, I'd love to see Radiation actually be stoppable.  Even with the best Rad suit in the game (Space Suit), you'll never stop Radiation completely.  I think if you got something over +30 in Rad protection, with or without Rad X, you should be able to keep stuff that gets up to +5 radiation off of you completely.  It's frustrating to play through Searchlight or Vault 34 and you have to eat Rad Away like it was candy cause there is nothing to stop the Radiation.

I can look into it but to the best of my knowledge the way the radiation works prevents it from being 'blocked' completely... However I might be able to make a suit that actively removes radiation when exposed to it.. But that'd be easy to exploit.. IDK I'll look into it...
Yeah I don't expect something that'll make me invulnerable to Radiation, just a way to make stuff that is supposed to protect you from radiation, do it to a point where it makes sense your getting radiation.  I should be able to wear to wear the space suit or rad suit and be able to walk through a small puddle of radiation or at the least get through areas of Searchlight without it destroying me almost worse than Vault 34.  Which I don't get really.  All I figured from that place was that some radioactive canisters were opened by Legion and now the entire town is a nuclear hazard that can't be fixed in anyway?
