Arena_mach has been updated to version 2, now called Arena_mach2.  This fixes many problems some people had with the map.  It now conforms to the traditional arena style of next to no health packs.  Some obstructions that hindered gameplay flow have also been taken out.

FINAL 2.0 CHANGES/FIXES:
-Logs to each sniper deck removed
-Boxes in the middle removed due to their placement being annoying in terms of movement flow
-Middle tower health pack removed
-Medium base health packs removed
-Both sewer small health packs removed
-Planks added to allow easy crossing from stairway base exit to middle area, which helps avoid sniper fire
-Spawn points fixed to prevent players spawning on one another

You know, your maps aren't always great (castle4 I'm looking at you), but you're usually solid and probably the damned fastest mapper I've ever met Tongue  I'll give it a try later.
I don't even like Castle. Sad

I have something for everyone.
The alpine changes look really nice, my main concern would be there doesn't look to be a lot of sniper cover, save for the underground area.

Be interesting to see how this plays, we'll give it a go on Tuesday  Smile
The sniping actually isn't too bad, especially with the log access to the deck, and the added cover from the boxes in mid.  They get eaten up pretty good if they aren't vigilant.

Hells yes! Looks real purdy and if it flows as well as the CTF version, it should be a treat.
Hmmm, my favourite ctf custom becomes an arena map, interesting... I'll do some test runs on my own server, maybe instate a Euro TFT.
Im one of the few people that like castle I think.  Except there were these bastards that somehow found out how to exploit it and get engies up on this high area and then set up sentries and teleporters to spawn camp the crap out of red and get the last cap. I think it was 2nd cap area they did this?
Hm, shouldn't be.  I think I saw that, and concluded it was a server with sv_cheats 1 on.  There's pretty much no place that can happen on the map without noclipping through.

At least, nobody told me that knew how to.
Mach4 with Alpine..count me in.

If I make it Tuesday I'll test out sniping spots. Mach4 never had a lot of sniper cover either..you just have to keep an eye on every lane to make sure you aren't hit with a bullet to the side of the skull.

I like.  We need arena conversions of all the good custom maps.  I'm looking at you, labor.
We also need Alpine versions. Alpine Mach 5 would be sexy.
We need a cp_forestbowl.
Thanks for this, VilePickle.  I can't wait to take this for a spin on a full server. 

Couple of minor things I'd like to ask about:
1.  The small wooden shack on one of the sides.  Did you intend it to be a dead-end if you climb over that pile of lumber?
2.  This is so aesthetically minor, I should be smited.  The rock face on the opposite side from the wooden shack... the edge where the rocks transition to the grass seems really harsh.  Is that a quirk of the Alpine palette or could that edge be softened?
