Hi.
I'm a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I'm an English major (it's not useless I swear!) and this is the first video game I've ever tried to really sit down and play...a few friends of mine (CountrY + Zaius) said it was addicting so I thought I'd give it a shot. Sorry that my original post wasn't that long, I was hanging out some people and just wanted to get my foot in the door.

Perhaps it's time to get a Minecraft subforum then. Maybe it will encourage some of them to post more than once.

I agree. A whole section would be a waste of space, but a subforum might be nice for the Big Boys section.

I'm starting to dislike how popular it's becoming. I remember back when it was just the 5 of us on that creative server I kept trying to convince people to join. Hosting a server from my own computer and just tryin my best to get the community somewhat interested in this. Now it's everyone has heard about the game, and people are just flooding in from the it and making two posts on the forums. One bare minimum intro post, then one on the whitelist thread.
I had an awful though a few days ago... one that made me feel simply filthy for ever even touching the game...
... that minecraft is essentially a "big boy's" version of farmville.

Also, Spore, I'm from Champaign-Urbana...although that only answers where I am from literally it does not answer where all the internet random-asses are from figuratively.

Nah, you just joined during the influx of people coming in from the minecraft forums. So far most of them left one or two posts and haven't come back.
