Ok, I'm shopping around for a case for the potential rig I posted a while back, I've narrowed it down to 4 options (in order of current preference)

Antec 300 Illusion (Antec 300 seems to be the best reviewed of the bunch)

Rosewill Challenger / Destroyer (they're nearly identical)

Coolermaster HAF 912

I'm a noob builder, so... anyone have experience with these models? Better suggestions? Stuff I should watch out for (like getting a 12V-4pin extension for bottom mounted PSUs)?

I wouldn't go with the 912... It only has a single fan included. I am a big fan of the HAF series looks though.

The HAF 922 is bigger, has more fans, and is also significantly pricier...

The Antec 300 looks solid and has plenty of fans. The look is clean and simple, which is a plus for some, but boring to others. Not sure if the bright blue glow would be an issue for you. Red is easier on the eyes at night.

The Rosewills both look pretty good, but I'm more inclined to recommend you the Antec 300 over them.
I've gotten biased recently. I think that red cases or cases utilizing red lights are far superior to the standard fare of blue; red lights aren't as harsh and I find them easier to sleep by. So I'm already leaning towards that 912. All of your choices are definitely in the right ballpark as far as price though.
I have a very old Antec Sonata and would HIGHLY recommend the Antec case. The original case fan is STILL going, and the flow potential on the Antec case is optimal.

this is what i've followed for a long time when it comes to culerz in my case.

I have a HAF 932, no complaints at all.  Good airflow, comes with 4 good fans, side panel viewport, cable management is pretty easy, and the red LED on the front reminds me of HAL 9000 Tongue  Oh, and according to Zane you'll have blazing fast performance.  Just don't pee on it.  Only downside is the back panel access for the mother board is too small.  So if you need to mount a bracket of any kind on the back you'll prolly have to do it with the motherboard out first.  So really, make sure you have a good cooling solution in mind before the build.  Especially since the stock intel heatsinks are TERRIBLE and hard to install due to their retarded peg system as opposed to something logical like screws.
I've got an Antec 300, it's a pretty awesome case. Very pleased. And now I kinda want yellow LEDs on EVERYTHING.
300 rapes, if you dont like the glow just kill the leds its not hard
I'd go with what Didzo or Karrde posted. Sure, a bit more expensive, but they'll give you longevity.

Karrde and I actually own the same case. I have extra red LEDs in mine for even faster performance.
