I'm so glad to see this happen and then the eventual and hopeful use in future Fallout releases.  I can't say I was really that excited by Oblivion, aside from a couple entertaining mods, but taking what they did and putting it into a better engine might get me to play the new one.

they should use the new id tech engine for a new fallout considering its being made to make a post apocalyptic wasteland fps

Oblivion was fun, you'd be doin' your own thing, sellin' some armor you found because heavy armor was shit, and then you'd accidentally steal a carrot. Suddenly:

And then you're on the run because you had to kill your way out of town to avoid carrot related imprisonment. Just for the love of god get a mod that gets rid of auto leveling the AI. Going fist only endgame when everyone had like 20k health was a downer.

Yeah, I ended up making a character that specialized in Speechcraft, Conjuration, Sneak (read: stuff I wasn't going to use). Kinda stupid honestly.

I...I'm sorry for your loss.  I at least know the speechcraft pain, that was one of my focuses.

Oh no no, selecting those skills was intentional. I got tired of monsters beefing up everytime I use a spell or block an attack, yeugh.

I got tired of oblivion after running for like 2 hours to a play that I died in almost minutes after getting there
