As long as you're editing five HD videos at a time on a regular basis, that amount of RAM is just fine. If you're just playing games you're a plumb fool for getting that much.

It might be good to have a computer with less than 4GB of RAM then, because at least then you are less likely to consider buying APB.

there are lots of sound libraries that require 16 G of RAM to run properly.
