Why is there not a thread for this already?

Get excited, folks.

Whip, Kick, BOOM Bulletstorm Trailer
Well I was excited, but then they did that whole "$60 price point" thing, and since this is no Crysis 2, I lost interest. I'll check out the demo after that comes out though.
I've been iffy about it. I still don't know how it plays and would appreciate a demo first. (for PC, not PS3)

PC demo coming soon.

Though it's not coming out until after the full game's released.

that's stupid.
Could be a fun game.  Waiting to see if the co-op is any good where I might get it for a friend.
demo for xbox was sweet
I played the demo on PS3. I couldn't aim for shit.
Ugh, from what I hear, it's a perfect example of a crappy console port (I know this is the console board but the Bulletstorm threads here, so meh). Has everything from low FoVs to keyboard-only navigable menus. Other features include encrypted cfg's, limited graphical options, and forced 16:9 aspect ratio. They throw their finger at anyone using a high DPI mouse, as the sensitivity is incredibly high even at the lowest settings. Oh, and just to add the icing on the cake, and this thing uses GfWL.

Way to completely abandon the PC crowd. I thought this thing was built on UE3. How is it even possible to screw up a PC version of a game with that engine so bad? Then they have the nerve to charge $60 for it on the PC. Any interest I had in this just died completely. Way to go People Can Fly. [Image: distrubed.gif]
I rented it on the 360 though and it's pretty wild and fun.  Like if Gears of War had alot more humor and ridiculous insanity and I'm only at Act 2.  You get to control a robot in this.  Not gonna ruin what kind of robot it is, but man is it fun lol

*EDIT*
Was shown this to fix those pesky console port problems with the PC version.

God that is the best part!
Beat the game last night and it was really great.  The pacing was well done and the characters are just awesome.  It never felt like they were padding with boring areas that didn't lead to anything as each area was either important to the story or put with a big actions set piece.

Really bummed there is no campaign co-op though.  They dropped the ball on that, cause they easily could've put it in.

I heard from sources that when they tested it, the testers did nothing but rush through the game, and that isn't what People Can Fly wanted, so they took it out.

And your right, the characters were round(Grayson in particular), the writing was great, the story could have been better, but it wasn't as bad as modern warfare 2's story(I make this an example, because this game was, and still is raved about.), and one thing i didn't expect was the visuals. I don't usually say shit about visuals because i could care less about visuals, because it's a game, not a painting, or a picture. It's supposed to be fun, not inspire me to sculpt. The visuals in this game, however, is fantastic. The environment plays it's part in this game, and I think they knowingly polished the game's appearance, thinking about kill shots like Vertigo & fishfood.
No local co-op?  I was on board for this game, but I'll be completely ignoring it now.

There is a good reason behind it. Blame the testers, because when they tested it, they found unsavory results.
backfire the fov is like 85 iirc, you dont actually need to crank up the fov to 360 to see beyond the corporeal veil

90 DEGREES MINIMUM!

Eh, since Maxon showed that article that fixed all the issues I had with it, I'm back into being interested in it. The $60 price tag doesn't really help though. It took Dead Space 2 a couple months to drop $20, so I'll just wait a bit until this comes down too.

DS2 came out on the 25 of January. So it took about five weeks.
This is only $40 on Amazon today for console or PC.
