It was working fine yesterday. Then when I go to start it up today it stats with the little green graph at the bottom with the Microsoft copyright. Then just a black screen. It wont let me do anything. So I have to hard power it off. I start it back up and it brings me to the "windows could not start properly do you want to attempt to repair it" I go to repair it and it goes through the deal but now its sitting at the repair screen doing its thing apparently but its been about 45 minutes. I've never seen it take this long.

ETA: startup repair just finish but it failed. Its saying a recent driver installation or upgrade may be preventing the system from restarting. Then gives me the error codes 0x1f and 0x490. Only problem is that I haven't installed anything recently.
and now it's working after a system restore. Shame, really. I could have lobbyed for a new laptop if this had bricked.
