Sonic Generations: E3 Demo Green Hill and City Escape [FullFoot|HD]
Go ahead and say "Saying the Sonic Cycle's over is part of the Sonic Cycle" if you want, but this sonic has an amazing recreation of City Escape with the old GUN truck chasing you in a rampage down the streets with sawblades and a damn rocket jet.
The game's segmented into two sections, Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic. The Classic Sonic portions features the same physics, power ups, and same multi-path level design as the sonic games of old, while the Modern Sonic bits is a refined take on the Sonic Colors formula (which if you didn't hear, apparently was very well done). Both portions take place in the same environments, but with different levels specific to that style.
They said several times in the interview how the two sonics are going to be the only playable characters. Sadly, that means no Frog Fishing with Big the Cat sections in this title. None the less, this looks like a winner, as if everybody in the Sonic dev team suddenly looked each other and though "we should make an actual good Sonic game."
Game's comin out holiday season this year for the ps3, 360 and 3DS, though the 3DS versions will have different levels based off the handheld sonic games from what I heard.
