Be Right Back, Uninstalling

After seeing some of the coverage of the sequel coming out this August I decided to see what it's all about.  This game is pretty fucking good.  Good old turn based 4x space exploration with Total War style real time battles. 
One think I really like is that all the races are actually unique.  Every one has their own method of FTL travel.  Humans can only follow predetermined node lines between stars, Liir have inertialess drives that slow down in gravity wells, Hivers have to get to planets at slower than light speed but then can build warp gates, etc.  Then there's all the unique techs and such.
I'm not buying the original but I definitely got my eye on Lords of Winter.  Here's a trailer showing off pretty spaceships.

This interests me

I decided to buy the sequel since it's 33% off.  It's a lot prettier and more complicated than SOTS 1 but it's also incredibly buggy and still missing a ton of content.  It'll be good after a few dozen more patches I think.
