Gentlemen,
I am getting skyward sword, and I can't wait. The trailers look marvelous.

Here is information on it: http://www.thetanooki.com/2011/10/07/sky...-game-yet/

Reviews
IGN 10: "Ocarina of Time has met its match... It is the greatest Zelda game ever created... One of the finest video game accomplishments of the past 10 years"

Game Informer 10 : "This is the first game I’ve played that delivers on the promise sparked by that initial Wii remote showing."
This is higher than their skyrim rating haha!

Wired 10: "it delivers in every way possible including some you wouldn’t necessarily expect."

1-Up  B+: "So, is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword the best game of the franchise? Unfortunately, no. But few things should ever be viewed in absolute terms. The better question would be, 'Is Skyward Sword another great Zelda game?' To that I'd say, 'Absolutely.'"

There are more reviews, but for the general rankings...
Metacritic says 95/100 out of 18
Game Rank  says 93.15% out of 15
My choice is Zelda.  Even with my distaste of motion controls, it looks like they are actually trying to do something different with the series, for the better.  Then again, I'm not really into the Assassin Creed series, so I'm a tad biased here.
100 hours for a Zelda game?

I'm a bit skeptical.

Why is this a question. Zelda.
I say Zelda for sure, but I really doubt it will be 100 hours. That's just ridiculous.
wind waker is 100 hours *takes photo for statues or w/e of literally everything*
Zelda, without a doubt
buy zelda, rent assassin's creed. it's what i've done with every single assassin's creed game after the first one.

Let's put it this way. Every console Zelda game has been really badass.
Goin for Zelda.

Also, heres the article, saying the game will last 50-100 hours
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/12/legend...100-hours/

No idea how they gauged it... 50-100 of regular gameplay, or 50-100 including sidestories and stuff?

haha. that's why I didn't say every Zelda game. the last handheld Zelda that I loved was Minish Cap..ironically by Capcom.

Bah, I preordered again. Hope it's worth it!
Edge did a review; you guys were right about the hours. On a single play through (no sidequests or extra, just what is necessary) it was 35 hours. But apparently there is a lot to collect and plenty of sidequests, so that might bump it up to 50.

10/10 from Edge
It was brought up somewhere that the 100 hours would be for people not familiar with Zelda games.

Damn, that's a long run for the game, I like it.  So damn tempting, but can't afford, so unless I get it as a gift or rent it, though I need to get a motion plus controller, it'll be awhile till I can play it.
