After this past weekend, I've had a lot of Cosplay ideas in my head, most of them silly but a few that are perhaps worth pursuing. Thought I'd make a thread for people to post ideas and to keep track of possible cosplays.

Brodyquest: Need a blue suit, star sunglasses and a star-guitar. Music is absolutely necessary to complete this ensemble, I wonder who knows of good portable (read: wearable) sound solutions?
Dovakiin: Once you get past the intricate armor and muscular build, I had an idea for the Thu'um, stash a powerful speaker (again, I need to research wearable sound systems) somewhere. Don't put the whole "Fus Ro Dah" on there, only the "Dah". When you do the shout, activate the speaker on the "Dah". Should surprise them decently when what they expect to be a guy yelling suddenly bursts with volume.

Going to just randomly add cosplay ideas from time to time as I get them.
Gendo Ikari from Evangelion: Need tinted glasses, grow a beard, and become a bad father. Also keep white-gloved hands folded in front of face at all times.
Demoman: Thinking of sticking with the TF2 idea, mostly cause I like building props now and I want to try and build the Loch n' Load and maybe Eyelander. Also I have the grenades to build for it.  The outfit itself is pretty simple, other than maybe getting the right body armor piece, but I think it would be fun and give me another cosplay to wear later on at a weekend con, so I don't have to haul my Tomislav around the entire weekend lol

Still trying to think of something else I could do that might be prop related and would work well enough for a bigger bearded guy that I don't feel awkward doing and also has some prop stuff going for it.  Definitely like the prop aspect of cosplay.
Vanu Rexo/Heavy Assault, there are also other armor samples on PS Universe

Likely people to pull this off would probably be limited to Karrde/HeK/Myself/Atom

I'd do it but I don't have the skills to pull it off Tongue

Also:

Spanish Inquisition
Payday
Dota 2 Champs
Oh goody, thanks for creating this thread. If you find any good info about wearable sound systems, you should share the knowledge as I might also be needing something like that.

Some of my future cosplay plans, not sure which ones to actually make:
Season 0 Seto Kaiba
Priest Seto
Pegasus (Would you like to see my funny bunny?)
Green
Whitney
No Face (Spirited Away)
Kamen Rider Kiva Emperor form
Some props for Medic like the Kritzkrieg w/working lights + sound, Grimm Hatte

On the way back I was telling At0m and Evil Cheese that they should make John Freeman's "motorcycle"

Yes

If I go again next year I'd like to do Zulf from Bastion and walk around with an acoustic playing songs from the game. I'll have to do a lot of transposing and re-arranging for Open Dsus4 tuning though since they use about five or so different ones on the soundtrack >Sad

Also gonna have to get good at tailoring fast because holy shit this is gonna be tough to pull off
Male Kneesocks and Zulf are my top priorities I just would need alot of help with Zulf.

God durnit. Beat me to the posting punch. When did you have the idea? Dude maybe one of us can go as the kid and the other as Zulf. I am trying to get a girly friend of mine to be Zia.

Assessed difficulty - Mid, Jacket patterns like that aren't super difficult, if you wanted to commission it in the fall or something.

Though IMHO making stuff yourself is a great learning experience

How much would it cost? I would love to commish you to make one. Been asking around if anybody knows anyone willing to make this damn clown pants suit for like 2 weeks and have had no luck. I don't know why I have yet to ask you beforehand.

Depends on what you would want from the outfit, for just that jacket as pictured on the dummy probably $125 - $150, suede and pleather (fake leather) are not the cheapest fabrics.

For reference, I threw together Zaius' soldier jacket in ~8 hours on my crappy back-up machine, it was something like $50ish in materials. And anything fabric Im much better at making in a reasonable time frame than props
I'm seriously considering making a Medic costume.  I've never built a prop, though.  Any suggestions on how to make the Medigun?  I'm sure I can just do either foam or wood for the Ubersaw (or whichever melee I decide on).

EDIT: Also, Heavy.  My wife will be female Heavy, so suggestions on how to build minigun?

Sounds very reasonable to me, any chance you are able to make the book and book holder as well?
totally need to cosplay this guy from mirai nikki:

Mirai Nikki - Transform
Hello??? Transposed from c minor to d minor. Works for both Zulf's theme and the ending theme.

I wanted to do Zulf for acen 2012 but didn't have enough time/cash to do it. I'd do the kid but I'd have to do all the armor pieces and weapon props which would be a bitch to lug across the country/get through TSA.
I'm very seriously considering doing an Agent J from Elite Beat Agents cosplay for next year, I can easily get the suit, the badge and microphone are also very easy. The only hard part is gonna be the hair. This guy's Pomp is RIDICULOUS. Also, it would be even better to get another two people to do EBA costumes as well.

If all else fails, I can just default to an easy Hisao Costume.

Wood frame for the carry-handles and weight bearing skeleton on Sasha.

Considering the size of the gun, you'll probably want to make the majority of it out of wood and foam aside from the barrel and main body of the gun, which would be appropriate for PVC piping.

I'd make the non-round detail features from foam so as to reduce the weight as much as possible, and upon further staring at the Sasha pic on TF2Wiki, it looks like you could make the entire 'core' of the gun (rotating barrel assembly, the body of the gun whence the rotating assembly is mounted to) from PVC piping along with the two cylinders that are attached to either side/top of the ammo drum.

For the ammo drum, I'd try out a 5 gallon bucket, straight walls and is hollow.

There's very little in terms of non-straight edged hard corners on Sasha, so it should be comparatively easy I'd think.

TF2 wiki now has the spin-able pictures, that will probably be your best friend, and I can show you how to use Half-Life Model Viewer if you wish.
