Nitrous Oxide

Ok so a while back, my laptop's power adapter tip melted and stopped working. I tried to find a replacement adapter with very little luck. I eventually got one from some dude in China, but it didn't work (shorted or something). The guy offered to refund me, but also offered a connection interface for free. The tip wasn't actually the right size (smaller) but it worked on the original adapter. It eventually melted and the guy sent me a new one. This one lasted a year and now it's melted. Unfortunately, I can't get in touch with the guy, so I come to you guys once again.

The adapter model is Liteon PA-1121-04
(direct quote from customer support: ADAPTER 120W 19V 3-PIN GREY TIP - DELTA 1.7X5.5X11 BLACK ADP120ZB BBW, FOR PB LF)
The original tip size is 5.5x2.5 and the one that's smaller that worked is 5.5x1.7

So pretty much I need a new 2.5 to 1.7 tip.

I think you need a new laptop.  This one has a burning inferno instead of a hard drive.

Yeah, I am, but I'd also like to get this thing running again too.

I must be misunderstanding something about your post, since if you just google Liteon PA-1121-04 the first hits are for adaptors that seem to match exactly what you're looking for, and they're less than $20.  Unless you're trying to save like, five bucks by buying just the tip and replacing it yourself.  In that case, gl hf

Duck, Duck, Goose

Pretty sure it's not the exact model which is why the one I ordered didn't work...
