Who's excited for Far Cry 3? I'm a bit leery after the disappointment that was Far Cry 2 but trailers and reviews are giving me the impression that they fixed problems with infinitely respawning enemies and fast travel. Reviews in general have been glowing so far even with standard score inflation taken into account.

The only addition I don't like the look of is the whole hunting animals for skins concept. There's no way in hell that they put in a complex hunting system with realistic animal AI, so I'm sure it'll just end up with the player walking towards a zone marked as having a certain animal, they see one after 30 seconds and shoot the hell out of it.
Just look how Total Biscuit gets grabbed by a bigass crocodile and instead of almost instantly having his neck snapped just presses a button to kill the beast with one stab.

Pre-ordered and super stoked for it. Like what was said, I feel it makes up for everything that was lacking in Far Cry 2 and I know I'm just gonna really enjoy and it's getting pretty generally good reviews from the places I check out which is always a plus.

I watched someone on Twitch stream it for over 12 hours before finally being shutdown. In all honesty, this game looks like a TON of fun. It'll probably be my first purchase after finishing at least half of my huge backlog.
Well, Gamefly didn't offer a preload but it'll be done in 3 and a half hours so that isn't that bad.
Well it took more than two hours of troubleshooting to get the game to even run properly. Turns out every time the game runs I'm supposed to open up task manager and close a certain process, or else the game just hangs on a loading screen forever. Also when it does run I get a pretty crappy frame rate even on low settings. Problems aside though, I'm getting some glimpses of a kickass game in between all the problems.
Usually I tend to have issues and I thought I was gonna with the intro of the game, where the framerate was getting kinda iffy, but once that was done, it seems to be playing just fine. No slow down, no crashes, no real issues and I didn't even adjust my settings which are auto set at like low and medium.
As for the game, I'm really enjoying it. Lots of stuff to do, the characters are interesting, everything feels alot more lively than that borefest Far Cry 2. I've been doing alot of side stuff mostly, getting gear and such, so havent' gotten to far into the story yet, but I'm liking it so far.
A tip I would say...Don't buy any guns other than maybe the bow. You get one or two free per radio tower and when you pick up the gun off the ground, it is then unlocked in your inventory it seems. The only thing you need to spend money on are the attachments as there is at least one gun per set that has attachments like red dots, new scopes, silencers, etc...
My only gripe might be the cars are abit wonky to drive, but I haven't really had to use them a ton other than for some race stuff. Fast Travel is so nice lol
Lame, the key that came with my video card has to be redeemed through ubisoft. Download eta is 9 hours :'(
this game is sick
was doing one of the assassination missions and was luring the people off one by one with rocks, then some random rakyat come around and start fighting them. job made 10x easier
Kinda wish the crafting system was alittle more involved, since I'm pretty much almost done with crafting everything. Just need 4 more path of the hunter missions to get the special animal kills and I'm not even halfway through the game. Maybe some more stuff unlocks, I don't know. It's not bad, just could have lasted a tad longer.
I don't like Reggae or Dubstep, but I actually enjoyed that song when it came up during the weed burning lol

This is bearable dubstep. It's much closer to actual dub and takes less from the weird sound effects and weird noises they use in dubstep.
I liked that song. It's got a fun beat, catchy lyrics, and it feels closer to dub while still holding onto the heavy beat and interesting sounds of dubstep.
