Post your requests for games you want to see in Whatever Wednesdays here. Do not repeat existing requests.
It doesn't always have to be a source mod, or a source engine game. It can be any multiplayer game, except that commonly played by the community (no PS2 or TF2).
It is officially "Whatever Wednesday" now. That means almost any game that is not Planetside 2, or Team Fotress 2 qualifies. It is advised to be inexpensive, free, or already commonly owned if possible. In most cases I will have to set up a server, but MMO style games are allowed. PC multiplayer games only.
Note that the idea behind this is primarily that of camaraderie, even if I don't get servers running, or the servers don't work properly, you can still pub it up, the idea is to play a game, other than what is commonly frequented by the community, ANY GAME IS ALLOWED AS LONG AS IT IS NOT PS2 OR TF2.
Each week I will use !d (diceroll) in #brbuninstalling on GameSurge (our IRC Channel) and pick 5 games from the total list.
There will be a new thread with a new poll that allows 1 item vote, but a change of votes is allowed.
The poll will be posted on Tuesday, and closed on the following Tuesday.
Whatever wins will be stroked out and will not be eligible in the following week's vote, however the other games that lost that week will be added back into the possible options of the diceroll.
Once we reach 5 games I will run a dice roll to determine the order of the last 5 weeks of Whatever Wednesday. At which point all items with a strike through them will be restored, and the cycle will restart.
This enforces that all games on the list MUST be played before a game that has already been played comes up on the list again.
Some people complain this may mean, for some people "learning a new game every week". The thing is, that's a good thing. Even if no one knows how to play, you're all in the same boat, and I like to think we're in a friendly enough community that those who DO know how to play are willing to share their knowledge.
