I know that several of us have been taking regular clips with the recorder.

Would anyone be willing/able to throw together a compilation video if all of us submitted clips?

I have absolutely no experience with any kind of video editing software to make this happen. I know a while back we talked about a TF2 highlander video but it never came to pass due to how difficult it is to properly extract stuff from a demo and lazyness.

Since PS2 directly outputs mpegs this should be really easy, I have several clips I could toss in, and Im sure others do as well.

So, can anyone play video editing bitch amazing person whom I will buy a beer?
I've been deleting mine since none of them have been good and 10min of video footage is >1gig of space on my primary HDD. Wish there was a way to change the record location, although now that I'm typing this I can probably relocate the My Videos library and see if it moves.

You can change the location easily its in the recorder settings, I left mine on my primary HDD since its better to use an SSD for recording the videos...though I suppose it could cache to me RAM before being written to my 2TB dump drive. I should test this.

[/quote]My primary is also an SSD, but I rarely have more than 4-5GB free on it. Huge fixed size swapfile is huge, tiny 120GB SSD is tiny.
Disable swap? Seriously, don't have your swap file on your SSD! That's a good way to kill the drive fast.
Set PS2 to record to a different drive.

Also, 250gb SSDs are under $160 now.
Can you reccomend some, heK?
I can probably come up with something. How are we moving the files?

I was planning on putting my clips on dropbox after I stick them in a 7zip file, i think that would be the best way given they are going to be larger files

The Samsung 840 250gb can be had for $160 if you look around.

Yes, although I'm hoping to get a copy of Adobe Premiere and learn how to use that. Sony Vegas is not holding up very well and I don't want to shell out 500 bucks for another version that becomes obsolete in a year.

Or you could just use Light Works for free.

I am intrigued. I shall check it out.

I was planning on just getting the CS6 production suite. Plus, I get like $350 off because I'm a student. Just checked. I actually get $1,339 off because I'm a student.  :o

Actually they clarified it was only for owners of the original license because they are taking down their auth servers. But there is quite a bit of a wink wink nudge nudge pirate from us aspect to it.
I heard someone wanted this.  I'm uploading the original right now, takes forever.
