A better idea is to get on a weekday night when things aren't too crazy but there is still a squad going.

My cries are planetsides lies.
okay so there are a bunch of weapons that i should get, what are they (and what's the easiest way of not paying for them)

Easiest pay of not paying for them is not buying them. The stock weapons are actually pretty damn good and most of the unlockable weapons either provide only marginal benefits over the stock weapons or are situation-specific weaponry.

However, if you are to buy something, the Annihilator is a lock on rocket launcher that targets all vehicles and should be your #1 unlock.

This.  The only weapons I have actually bought (outside of bundles) are the annihilator and the Nova, and I am perfectly competent with that basic loadout.

A lot of weapons are almost forbiddingly expensive if you buy using certifications. Some exceptions to this trend:

The XM98 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that is capable of one-hitting on headshots, unlike the default (Spectre). It only costs 100certs, so consider it if you're tired of having a repeater rather than a sniper rifle. The Flare is the highest damage-per-shot machine gun, and is supposed to be pretty adaptable as you can cert a lot of different shit into it. It's 250certs, so consider it--I personally like my Orion. The default carbine (solstice) and assault rifle (pulsar) are highly competent so don't worry about changing these right away, unless you want buggy grenade launchers.

If you decide to pay for weapons, first of all wait until a double or triple station cash day comes along. Seriously. Once you have some station cash:

Dual AA busters for the MAX are in common usage for us--even by yourself you're a massive deterrent to enemy aircraft. I don't recommend dual AV, its damage is somewhat modest and you aren't tough enough to fight a tank head-on. A lock-on launcher is a better idea, and even with the nerfs that the annihilator has recently gotten, dual lock-on makes it the go-to. Dual AI, also would hold off on if you're trying not to overspend, as the Vanu AI loadouts are arguably inferior to the NC and TR counterparts. A good investment might be a multi-class weapon: shotguns are usable by every infantry class except infiltrator, and SMGs are usable by all. While they aren't a free-win card even at fairly close range, it's nice to add some versatility to every class for the cost of one weapon.

Also there are vehicles, here are my thoughts:

Not really worth gearing the flash. I love having a grenade launcher on mine, but it'll net me a nominal 0-1 kills per night. Big guns on sunderers are likewise a luxury; we scarcely use them as gun platforms. Lightning HEAT is a good choice if you don't like the limpdick cannon it has by default, and getting the Saron laser cannon for the Magrider secondary will make you a beast in tank fights if you have a competent gunner. If you like flying scythes, you need to invest in a rocket or missile pod, else you are waaay less threatening. Hold off on certing the Liberator; it takes quite an investment to be good, and you're probably better off enjoying the gunner seat in someone else's lib. Galaxy, yeah don't bother.
I concur with the above. Keep in mind also that you get a single 30-minute weapon trial per day, so you can test out the Flare, Nova, Lightning HEAT, etc before actually dropping the certs on them. If you don't like them, then you don't have to buy them, that simple. I agree with the above comments wholeheartedly, and add that the SMG is definitely a useful investment if you like Infiltrator but don't like Sniping.

To use the trial, go through like you're going to buy whichever gun. It'll bring up a screen where you can choose to spend SC or Certs, but at the bottom there's a blue trial button. It'll have a timer if you've used it recently, otherwise you can hit it and get access to whatever gun for 30 minutes.
I disagree re: the grenade launcher on the Flash. I really only got the grenade launcher so that I could cert into night-vision, which makes driving the Flash less of a shit show.

Should try it indoors, it destroys entire rooms... until you get Austin Powers'd.

i was thinking about getting a bulldog for the flash then i remembered i have enough problems with taking splash damage and killing my flash with the fury

Yep, the fury is a beast. It's absolutely hilarious when you drive it into a building and start to blow people up who are huddling around a point.

Its small size makes it very handy for stealthily spawncamping from above and the fury kills most things before they even know where they are getting hit from.
