Main Storage: OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 140W
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 RS-600-AMBA-D3 600W ATX12V V2.3
RAM: (8 GB) G.SKILL Trident 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD
OS: Win 7 Home Premium
Few things to note. I built this back in 2009 and it worked perfect for the longest time. Went on a weekend trip with the computer turned off the entire time. Come home and it bluescreens on launch. Few reboots later and it is fine again.
List of symptoms: BIOS reset a few times, doesn't happen anymore really.
Games randomly uninstall themselves, also skype has uninstalled itself and then magically reinstalled itself after a reboot.
Google Chrome will crash often when system is unstable.
Lots of BSODs.
Often times rebooting a few times will cause my system to run stable for the rest of the night. It seems to run less stable if I'm coming home after work or if I left my computer off for a longer period of time than normal.
I used to have a 4890 in here for the graphics card, problems persisted between both graphics cards (only thing common between the two is AMD). I've reformatted several times with a few different versions of Win 7. I had it on professional for a while, now I'm on Home Premium.
I also had a WD Black 750 gb HDD as my main storage for a while before I dropped the SSD in and problems persisted with both drives.
I've also adjusted my memory timing per this page http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=7688
Is it possible that my mobo or power supply are causing this? I've done memtests before overnight and I've gotten clean and bad results several different times. One would think that if memory is bad, it would fail memtest every time at one point right?
