"HUGE sales coming up during Christmas, 99SC sales on ALL daily sales, 1SC for ALL member sales, 2 weeks during the holidays."

"sales from December 18th through January 1st, each day a different category (eg shotguns or helmets) will be 50% off"

I don't know exact details as I got this off a twitter feed.

Update with official forums info:

Over the next few weeks you may come across some snowmen (conveniently pictured above for easy identification!) scattered across the frozen wasteland of Esamir. These jolly and harmless fellows can be blown up for a nice chunk of XP, and, if you can light up enough of them you may earn a special reward. Also, keep your eye out for a rare blinged out Golden Snowman who gives a very exclusive reward. If you see one, make sure you get it before your squadmates do!

In addition to new holiday camos and decals, from the 18th of December through the 1st of January we will be having some huge sales in game.

Each day during those two weeks a new category in the marketplace (such as "shotguns" or "helmets") will be on sale for 50% off. In addition all Item of the Day items will be 99SC regardless of their original cost, and Members Only Item of the Day items will be 1SC, so make sure you log in every day and don't miss out on anything good!

Oh dear lord do I have a story for you then

In PS1 before the bending event they put up monoliths on every continent in some far away hex. In order to get an achievement you had to 'inspect' a monument (get very close to it)

We set up an enormous fucking minefield around one and just sat and waited for plebs to try to drive/fly to it, farmed that shit for like two days.

For some reason I hope the gold snowmen reward you with your gold faction pistol. You will not see me leave Esamir till i get it.

I take it double station cash days are a thing of the past?

They said they have no control over the SC bonus events (since they apply to all of SOE), so I guess they're doing the heavy in-game discounts instead.  Anyway the sale setup they're doing guarantees being able to get anything half off at least.  I should finally be able to get a Saron HRB, and maybe a few of the extra weapons I wanted.
