Replaying through first one to get ready for the second (well first playthrough on PC technically, beat it on console but never bothered to go past Blighttown on PC)

Every other boss took me 2 tries max usually. It was a game that punishes you for being stupid and impulsive. I loved it anyway but i never understood why so many people called it uber difficult. It was like playing contra, once you play it a couple times you understand what the fuck is going on and how to react.Think about modern console owners, what games sell, and difficulty. Dark Souls forced you to learn how to play, other games just let you barge past it with lower difficulty levels or poor enemy design.
My hope is for DS2 to be the same way. Something that may seem unjustifiably hard but only because its new and foreign

That's like saying eve online is difficult. The reason it's enjoyable is because of how punishing it is to fail making it satisfying to succeed. Maybe it's just not the kind of game for you.
