Hey guys,

A friend of mine needs my help to build a budget gaming rig for him. I've been given a budget range of $600-$700. I haven't researched pc parts for a while so I thought I'd get some extra opinions.

Couple of builds I found while browsing pcpartpicker

The builds I've seen in this range on the forums go for amd, but here's how far I got with a intel build with the same processor I currently have. It needs a case, psu, and gpu:

He doesn't care about form factor and the only stipulation so far is he wants a blu-ray drive.
Any suggestions and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I would concur with the processor statement. Its not the best but for the money its good.

intel processor (3570K is a great choice). It will be more expensive but its better.
AMD just cant stand up to intel in most respects.
I dunno AMD has started that they are really going to push their limits on the next generation. We might see some solid processor wars again soon

yeah amd was just holding back this whole time on performance processors
