I think that's the largest suite at the convention. Any larger and we'll have to rent a house for a weekend... (that sounds hilarious and terrifying)
Yes, I would totally come down a day early! That would rock and, of course, I'm willing to pay into that as well.

If we gotta crash a night in Party Cat or something for that first night, fine by me.

What would be fun is just a BRBU vacation somewhere where we all chip in and rent a huge house for a weekend. Not even for a con, just get a house on a beach and live it up for a few days. A large house split 30 ways for 4 days wouldn't be too bad price wise.
Lets see here;
Parent's Lawyers and Best Friends have a Condo in Key West...
My Aunt owns a cottage (2 bedroom) in Combermere, Ontario...
Friend of the family has this cottage in northern (lower peninsula) michigan:
Main cottage has 1 king bed, 3 twin beds, 1 full bed, 1 queen bed, and I think it has a fold out too. There's a detached "guest house" which has 2 full beds, and 2 twin beds. The twin/full are bunk bed set ups. So, if people share could be up to 15 otherwise 11 people, plus next door is actually a small cottage rental company too I think. This place is near Sleeping Bear Dunes, and on Little Platte Lake (a clearwater and relatively shallow lake), it's about an hour southwest of Traverse City, and in the (not quite a) town nearby it has some of the best cherry pies in michigan (not joking, consistently rated as such every year in michigan travel magazines).
Here's the friend of the family cottage (terrible) web site:

Can just go on a group rate camping trip somewhere, I enjoy camping no matter where I go, done it here in ohio, done it in the rockies, done it in south carolina...

so... I'm up for whatever maybe I'll actually be able to go to one of these things...eventually

Wonder if we could swing having a bunch of folks at our cabin on the lake... that could be good!

You are fucking coming next year god damnit.
I hate camping but once my mother's side of the family rented a house on the beach in the Florida Panhandle. It was a large house and fit 24 people comfortably. Had a pool too. Not sure how much it cost, but sounds like a crazy trip. I might be interested in such a thing.

Update: Looking at pricing it seems like a good guess is $1000 a night. With 25 people splitting that's 280 for a week. We'd have to also consider food, travel and other stuff, but that sounds like a decent price for a week at the beach with other stupid people.

as someone that honestly doesn't care much about the actual con and only comes to hang with you guys and get drunk for vacation, i support this.

I kept telling people there was 3 other TVs that could have been used for whatever but oh well. Maybe for next year we can move the screenings to the smaller side room for extended daytime watching.
I would like to do the extra day. Then i wouldnt feel bad about bailing out earlier on Sunday.

Cosplay went well, people were good, drinks were plentiful.

We should hire a bouncer for the door next year
