Something to keep in mind: everyone making the cosplay should have some interest in the show/game since making a nice cosplay is an investment of time and energy (and money).
My suggestion is Super Smash Brothers 4; easily recognized, would be fun to cosplay (so many different prop options too), a wide range of characters with different costume difficulties, it seems like a lot of acen brbuers like to play smash, and I've already started making an Ike cosplay

As I've stated in GroupMe, I call dibs on grownup Ness with 5 o' clock shadow and everything.
I'd like to do a Payday cosplay. Something I think would be fun (for me), but less realistic is a Starship Troopers cosplay. That would be pretty hilarious.

Also don't worry about wanting to cosplay as the same character, we can have 8 jigglypuffs if we want. (also different outfits)

You know I've always wanted to make a Fox fursuit type of costume but it is out of my skill comfort zone and also I don't love Fox THAT much.
Perhaps someday. I want to recreate flareon quad suit first.
Question about SSB Peach/SSB in general (since I don't play that much):
Does she/anyone use the turnip from the second Mario game as a weapon? Like would it be out of place if I made a plush one to carry about?
Would it be better to
use a wig, or get layers cut into my own hair and style it myself?
