It is a very good and cute game. You can date a skeleton, and send a tiny dog-thing off to college/cool leg. And your best friend is a flower. You all should buy it.

It is indeed quite Mother-like. It's just a really super well crafted game. Kinda like Cave Story too. Except Toby is a musician who turned out to make a great game, rather than the reverse.

Pixel is a competent game-maker, who also ended up making a great soundtrack (to Cave Story.) Toby is a good music guy, and he made an exceedingly charming game (with the help of Game Maker.)
This fucking game. 10/10 play it but don't look up spoilers or information about the game while playing.

Yes, I'm bummed that I had several parts spoiled. All I can say is that play it through more than once and always do something different.
