Help me create a riddle:
Someone wants to know my middle name- David. How can I make this into a riddle without just giving up the word Goliath?

To help out, Goliath is listed at "4 cubits and a span" but using that direct phrase will make it simplistic to solve with google.

first draft:

Here I stand, a simple man
unimposing but with a plan.

meek as the sheep,
of which I herd,
with but a stone,
against the cur

a flick of the wrist,
there's nothing to it!
then topple down,
the towering cubits.

Who am I?

Or anyone who has read a Bible or heard Bible stories should get that based on your hint without even reading the riddle. Hints should be more obscure.

I'm struggling to tread that fine line between easy and unclear. Also I wouldn't give a hint, just the riddle. The info I provided was to help me and brbu create the riddle

She is Catholic so I could probably be more vague and she'd get it.

Any suggestions of what to cut out? maybe cubits entirely?
I specifically chose not to mention the sling

Home is where the heart is,
I cannot go far.
Death rains down,
like twinkling stars.

When others would fight,
I prefer to hide.
But I cannot run,
I shrivel and die.
