So, I got my new card in the mail today, TF2 plays extremely smoothly. When I had it on 16x AA and 8x Ani it will put out 80 - 90 FPS, even while playing people, however if the action gets really thick it will chug at times. So in the interests of never chugging I turned them off since I really don't notice much of a difference with them on versus off. Other than that, it puts out 60 during really heavy particle effects and 100+ at all other times.

The Box

Opening the box - feels like everyone is trying to emulate apple on this one

The card

Comparison shot next to a Wii

In the case - On the far end of the card I have a few centimeters of clearance

Both power connectors hooked up, this things drains a lot of juice, a 700w PSU is recommended for one, a 1000w recommended for an SLI setup

I look forward to fraging all of you again

Edit Temps: Idle 45 C - Heavy Game Load - 65 C
hawt. Its gonna maul PS on max settings.

I still say you should try to melt it to slag with Crysis.
Dude your card even comes with a chick!
[Insert obvious joke about compensating with gpu as big as your Wii, etc etc]

I swear they're gonna need to start building bigger motherboards and cases with the size video cards are getting these days... I thought shit was supposed to get all smaller over time and stuff D=

I'd rather have a more powerful, albeit large card than a smaller, less powerful one...obviously there are limits to this, but yeah.
