Only three maps this week in the hopes that we can get in maybe 2 pick-ups instead of one. For those of you looking for a new version of Norad...maybe Friday...maybe not, depending on my rage level in dealing with spawning bugs. I hope Geoff will have a revised version of research for testing at some point too.

pl_bounce_beta2 - looks to be a decent mix of indoor and outdoor fighting, a bit dark in the screens but hopefully not too much in game.

cp_blastone_silo_b2 - posted 3 months ago, don't know how we missed something that looks just good, but just goes to show you, if you browse FPS banana feel free to make suggestions on things we might have missed.

arena_silverspoon_b4 - While i like that a lot of people are making arena maps, the look is getting really old really fast Sad

You're not the only one that still frequents Dtoid around here. I'm sure there's a number of us who would do it if you had asked.

Honestly Id still make it if I could, but our net filter blocks all three gaming blogs, so if I posted it wouldnt be until like an hour before so there's really no point Sad

Yeah the first part of the map is just the total reverse, with blue having a huge advantage now.  The locked doors are really excessive, particularly on the now stairless balcony.  At least let the 3 classes that can get up there go through that way.  The second part seemed pretty awesome now, maybe a little too big, but decent dynamic spawn advancing and nice with the secondary path that drops on top of everything up until the last checkpoint point.

Yes, but by the time I realized it, it was late enough that a post probably wouldn't have mattered. I'll keep that in mind though. <3

Meh. I thought we were going to play a 2nd round anyways so we could all play both teams on the map. The 10 minute ban did make me realize how late it was though. Smile

Still not sure about the stage. Stage one turns into a couple of bad choke points where blue has the complete advantage, being able to use the one way doors to constantly completely surround red who is funneled down one narrow path. Pretty sure that was the case last time as well (until a door broke that is). Also, a geometry issue... the trailer just to the right outside of blue spawn forms a wedge with the rounded building next to it that someone can climb over.

Stage 2 was much better though. I can see red being able to more easily surround an unprepared blue team (as in, they advanced the cart but didn't take out the early red defenses, as was the case last night), but I'm not sure how that would be handled.
