I remember my first TFT/FNF. It was all like...

And then I caught on and we were doing Spies vs. Spies that one night.

We should make some new games up, do more RPS (caff, we really need a one line shot to enable/disable the class limits plugin), more fun maps (Wackyraces, baloon races, tower defense types and random stuff), maybe actually attempt at making some goofy videos again (trash compactor, I'm looking at you). I dunno. I think we need to fix the server first. Get a rotation and throw out that voting plugin since it empties the server out if bad mapsd come up at random. That and delete maps off the server from TFTs where we said they were shit.

No matter what rotation I make, people complain, so I put votes up, and people *STILL* complain
I can get the catagorized vote plugin another try, it was broken before, but if it worked I could do like 1 Stock, 1 CP Custom, 1 CTF Custom, 1 PL Custom, 1 Other, Ill work on trimming down the vote list somewhat.
And no, some of that shit got old, especially mic spam, there's a difference between messing around between friends and things like everyone trying to talk at once, or trying to dick around at the expense of just having fun playing with friends. Thats what FNF used to mostly we, we'd all just play *normal* most of the time, with one RPS or pickup, or filming spliced in here or there.
I stopped doing FNF because people couldn't behave themselves, if you don't like it, then don't come out, or I guess I could just stop running things entirely. I pretty much ran out of ideas to keep TF2 fresh beyond trying new maps which is why I still do TFT.

This, honestly. We're a dying breed, and we're really starting to need new blood around here. I still believe that the best possible route would be to get rid of the garbage customs, throw some decent stock in the rotation (Granary, Well, GravelPit) but put/keep some good customs too (Stag, Mach4, Freight)
Just my opinion.

kind of defeats the purpose of doing fnf or tft, just another pub night.
Since the first night I've been here, I've noticed three things that have been ERADICATED from our private nights.
1. Good maps. First off, I know that either Caff, Joel, or Dave (just cause he hates me) are going to rag on me for saying this. But sometimes it seems that we want more than just testing maps. I mean, we would just screw around some nights on the same map doing who knows what. That was Fun! But now it's just 3 maps and we're done. What did we do before we all started whining to our admins? We muted them ourselves. And plus, not all of our mic-spam was unfunny. Anyone remember, "Bats only, Scout only, FINAL DESTINATION!"? I'm not asking to let all mic spam in, but just lower down on the punishments.
3. Exclusiveness. Ok, I still remember before I joined this place, when it was still dtoid. I saw that TFT sign and I wanted in. BUT. I. WASN'T. ALLOWED. IN. So why, all of a sudden, do we let the commoner in our private nights? If we let anyone and everyone in, then it just becomes a pub with a locked door, but the key's already in. The reason I joined was so I could get in here, but now that it seems we've dropped that, our community's gotten smaller. I encourage that we tighten up our "requirements". (Also based off the fact that all we get are people who complain, I also suggest a pw change)

You're incredibly retarded. The first time I ever played on the dtoid servers was during fnf. All that you had to do to get in was read the fnf post, remember the pass, and click join server the fastest. And speaking unwell of "commoners" doesn't help the dwindling population at all.

I think its more boredom with TF2 than anything to be honest
FNF and TFT are what *you* make of it, with as busy as I am I almost can't even run TFT or PS Saturdays, hence why I handed FNF off to Scotty. If someone else wants to step up to the plate and thinks they can improve it, I'm all ears. Instead of QQing about how much you think it sucks, step up to the plate and say how you can improve it then take steps to make this a reality.
Since everyone seems to want to try something fresh, Luca, Geoff, or Karrde, which one of you would like to run TFT next week?

To be honest, I didn't know about destructoid, so I had to get the password from here. (The time I joined was right in-between the change to BRBu) And also, I'm not saying stop putting the pw on Dtoid, just stop letting anyone from anywhere if they don't have the password in.
I'm talking for the people who just happen to find this server out of pure luck. Like me. (I actually followed Rio here one day.)

But yeah. More RPS is my only vote, mainly since I'm always at work for FNF or TFT lately (IE, for the past 4-5 months now.) I miss it, but I live and play when I can. Do something about it instead of just bitching :V.
