My bad. I mis-read this article:
Quote:If you haven't bought Left 4 Dead on the Xbox 360 yet, Valve, the company that practically invented Game of the Year editions, does plan to release a special Critics Choice Edition of Left 4 Dead on April 21 for the console. It will feature the original game, as well as all the updates and the DLC. The DLC itself will go out digitally to existing Left 4 Dead players sometime before that date.
April 20th, not MarchÂ

Quote:The "Survival Pack" includes a new gameplay mode, where survivors encounter an endless wave of zombie attackers, as well as allowing Dead Air and Death Toll to be played in VS mode.also, the SDK is being released

I think they are also releasing 2 new maps, but the SDK will be HUGE, finally some custom versus maps, and I also predict that if a game is public, you are going to see people connecting and dropping like flies when they find out they might have to *GASP* download a map

Aren't they also releasing that survivor mode as well?
After playing with Aerox last night I now know what my biggest gripe is with versus mode now: it takes to damn long to play. 2+ hours, which can really suck when 90 minutes in you can no longer win, and either waste time finishing the hopeless endeavor or risk being labeled a rage-quitter because you gave up. Even if you win, it's still most of an evening to play one match.
Hopefully they have some shorter modes (maybe survivor mode?) or short versus campaigns planned. Stuff that can be done in a half hour-ish.

You know you don't HAVE to complete an entire match in one sitting.
I hardly do, usually I only play the first 3 levels of NM on versus anyways. People won't think you are ragequitting unless your team is seriously getting the ownz0rz, and if they do... who cares? I like to stick around and help my team out just as much as the next guy but when you gotta go, you gotta go.
