In before tl;dr
Every week, "BRB, Uninstalling" hosts an event called Friday Night Fights (FNF). It coordinates a get-together of the community under the roofs of several games.Â
While there are other selections like Planetside and Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2 is chairman of the board when it comes to BRB's community games of choice. This topic is focused on TF2 sessions during FNF.
The current TF2 FNF base formula:
* Pickup (Fatkid): Everyone joins the Spectator team. Two random people are asked to be Red / Blu Captains. They then alternate in choosing members for their team. The last person picked is encouraged to change their name to Fatkid but this is up to them.
** Rock Paper Scissors (RPS): At the start of each round, a random individual on each team is asked to pick a class before everyone leaves spawn. The class they select is the class everyone else must then select. The point is to have all Spies vs. all Snipers, all Scouts vs. all Heavies, etc.
Recently, FNF has tried to change things up a bit with themes / Opinion Wars (Sniper vs. Spy, New Kirk vs. Old Kirk). We also dabbled with temporarily suspending the no-mic-spam rule. These have yielded varying degrees of success.
SO. I'll just leave this topic right here.Â
I've heard specific individuals say that FNF is boring. "Pickups and RPSs get boring." Also, some ideas tried recently (Transformers-themed mic spam) were met with apathy or a cold reception. So, what else can we try or do?Â
If you have an idea for future TF2 FNFs, please say so here. If you've offered one before, say it again here. Yes, even that one. Movie ideas, more DJ nights, what? Ultimately, it is up to the admin running FNF that night for what to allow and what to do, but make your suggestions anyway. You can also make a reply that says, "FNF doesn't need to be anything else than what it is." Either way, we're fishing for feedback.
What say you?

The current TF2 FNF base formula:
- A random admin would lock the server at 8:00 PM CDT (01:00 UTC)
- Have a normal round
- Have a Pickup* round
- Have a Rock Paper Scissors** round
- Coast for a few more rounds
- Unlock the server in one to two hours from start
