Pretty much none of it affects me, except for some of the lowered requirements.

FUUUU- patch looks awesome. Why can't I afford this game? ;_;

it's not horribly expensive, standard 12-15 bucks for a sub
not like you have to pay for the 12 expansions that they have made

your pilot doesn't have to eat in EVE, don't worry

As long as you manage to scrape together more than 300 million ISK (in game currency) every month, you do not need to pay for a subscription! You can buy ETC from the ingame market.

You might need help at the start, but running level 3 and 4 missions regularly will easily get this amount if ISK.
