Be Right Back, Uninstalling

We are committed to making incremental improvements to the community, servers and site. To do this we need admins, but more importantly we need people that are willing to pitch in and do the grunt work necessary to keep the community going, growing and fun. So we are now offering a path to becoming an admin, but keep in mind that admin is just a tool for those who want to be community helpers. The path to admin is simple, volunteer to take on something that needs to be done or point out something that we could be doing and then do it. If we like your work, succeed or fail, we will start you at the bottom tier of admin powers. Here's some examples of things we need done:

-Seeding Red and Blue
-FNF management (make sure things go smoothly)
-Weekly events (existing or new)
-Special events (new - as in up to you)
-Come up with a plan to expand us into a new game
-Anything you can think of to make the servers/community better


If you want to help out and become an admin PM me and/or Caffeine with what specifically you want to help out with and we will get you started. In order to even qualify we must be able to trust that you have good judgement and maturity at least when serving in an admin role, for this reason we reserve the right to deny anyone admin. Don't take it personally if we do, our responsibility is to keeping the community running smoothly and not who we like or dislike. Also know that we have enough admins that if one does abuse their power, they will lose admin permanently.

I know that, but being serious and all I'm not really what a person would look for in an admin.

This is sort of an informal seeding schedule, being able to fill these holes would be helpful

Added a new item: we've been wanting to expand into new games but there just isn't much out there to build a community around. But if you think you have one you'd like to bring in to BRBU then let us know and we will see if it will fit.

i do plan on purchasing it

I wouldn't mind taking the reins on fnf for awhile. Could think of a few things to keep it interesting I suppose. That is if I'm eligible to get some admin abilities back. o.o

Surf, you forgot to mention the admin curse. I really think that it's something that should be documented, and something the people have the right to know about

I'll get that server back up after I can find a job down here. Well, that and whenever notch update's creative.

Basicly all that new awesome crap in indev like the new lighting, waterfalls and new blocks needs to be thrown into creative. Then we can zombify this thing.

Yea basically most people that get admin stop playing almost immediately. I'm hoping this new method will help stop that because these people will have a bigger stake in playing. But most of the time it's not their fault, their lives just get really busy - so beware it may happen to you.
