So that's what you call it these days?
W for lift.

A and D for rotation.

Mouse forward for a nose down attitude
Mouse backward for a nose up attitude.

Small, precise movements to just hover.  Try to keep it fairly steady so that the gunners can light stuff up.  Move fast only when being sniped.

Once almost dead, crash into the objective Big Grin.
Mouse left and right to strafe, also helps when turning.

OMG wat.  Sony should get DICE to make Planetside 2.
flying isn't that hard. when people refuse to get in your chopper, switch to recon with explosive upgrade and more c4, load up your chopper, fly at objective and parachute out. BOOM!

I have to try this.
Does anyone (else) adjust their sensitivity on the fly while swapping from hand weaponry and gunning or flying? I seem to always have problems flying with low sensitivity, and can't adjust fast enough to make any sort of fast combat manuvers like I see some pros pull off (Hi versus in attack choppa), and if I turn it up everything just gets too over exaggerated.

Although I'm fucking pro @ UAV.
i use the same sensitivity for everything. in BC2, i haven't changed the sensitivity from the menu, and i have my G9x at maximum sensitivity.
Alright, so I got the game, joined a server, capped two point (I use the terminology I'm used to if I want Tongue) then accidentally respawned quite a ways from the next area. So I looked around for an ATV or something and came across a perfectly placed chopper just waiting there. All my teammates were up ahead, and I was stuck behind. Even though I knew I shouldn't, I said to myself "Well, it can't be that hard."

Four seconds later I'm blown apart by a firey explosion and sitting at my respawn screen wondering what just happened. :-\

Is there a way I can just practice this on a local server or something? I just wanna get the hang of not crashing long enough to at least get to their base.

join empty servers running a map with one spawned and ready to go.
i dont have mapnames memorized otherwise i would have provided.
it's inverted by default, turn that off in option. Move mouse forward to move forward, mouse backward to move backward. DO NOT PRESS S UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. (... unless you have a full chopper.  ;D) a and d strafe left and right respectively. w ascends.
now that i can play, i think i can say anyone who cant fly a heli is fucking BAD, just W and move your mouse to turn, landings and just tapping w slower and slower
hey S is useful, just don't use it starting off Tongue
