All this talk about a soundtrack reminded me about a server I would sometimes play on that had music you could stream. You just typed "music", or something to that effect, into the console and music streamed to you.

Just wondering if this is something worth putting on the game server, assuming it isn't a custom plugin.

It is a plugin, although I can imagine the use of it when we have so much alltalk banter. It's more of topic of conversation when people tune into the Hard Polka channel.

If we could just play music at half volume to that of the mics then that would be super.

Also if we can randomly play eye of the tiger to everyone...

I've played on a few servers that have this and it's pretty great. If it costs anything extra I'd be willing to chip in  ;D

Its a mani plugin it shouldn't cost anything, but Ill take a look into it
What Kor said.  I don't want to have to compete with the music when I am making useless comments in all talk.  If the sound can get balanced somehow then that works but other than that I am not sure...
I always play with music on, it's not as social as having everyone listen to the same thing though...
Maybe I should clarify: The plugin I linked plays music just for the player. All the same though it doesn't allow any kind of volume control :/
