I know I've seen mention of this somewhere here.  Or someone said something about it in game.  Even Valve is promoting this now.  I figure I'd drop this here and see how many people I can convince to dontae what they can afford.  All proceeds are going to "Child's Play".  The event is going down on or about the 31st of August.  Child's Play is a really good cause and it's good to see gamers doing something really positive.  We tend to get a bad rap for being lazy and unmotivated, but here's a chance for those of us who can afford it to help out.  Please pass this info on to other places you hang out at.  Even if you can't afford to help you can help spread the word.

I've known about this since day 1, and already donated $5. Big Grin
After I buy  a new mic, I plan to donate 30 bucks, good ups on them.
Woo, over $24,000 now.  Yeah I heard about it, but I didn't think it had gotten anywhere until Robin Walker posted about it.  I don't visit the steam forums anymore since it's such a hell hole.
umm karrde there is a thread about this. and wing found the wrench on BRBU.
derp.
Lol, wing was the one who found it on brbu.  Well there wasn't a thread dedicated to this topic I guess.  Just trying to put it further on the radar even if I am late to the party.

He'll destroy it, then they'll give him a community valve wrench in commemoration of doing it for charity.
Probably, but that's not the point Tongue
Over $24,000 raised for Child's Play Charity.

shit I've never seen something like this pull in so much.
The Mario Marathon apparently topped $80,000

Desert Bus raised over $100,000.
I don't know what any of those are, but I meant for something so benign as watching a guy destroy or craft a wrench.

Desert Bus Marathon was awesome.
I like how both smb and smb2 are only 33 dollars to get them to play 100% run through on both
