I'm pretty sure they died which makes me sad, but that is the nature of the genre.

I would have done the same thing bill did, Doc was ripped, the soldiers made their decisions, they were goners from the beginning.
I dislike the aspect of the doc dying, he would have made a fine replacement for bill.
