Demon, I don't think non-admins can open chests in the Nether. Nickasummers and notgeoff have been unable to open chests, I don't know who else has had trouble
Is there any really compelling reason not to switch back to the regular map now with the new spawn and just run without hey0's mod until it's ready?  The Nether is really kind of boring, honestly.
Make sure that the chests aren't near spawn, that one cache is near spawn.

Also, I updated to the latest server just now so those of you who have been trying to connect and failing can get on now with the latest client.

As far as returning to the map goes, the reason we use the hey0 mod is for the features, most notably the userlist and guest access. Without that anyone can connect and we can get griefed like crazy. Also I don't want to load the map with everything being this goddamn buggy.  I also can't move the spawn without hey0's mod, the /home and /sethome features don't work (part of the mod only) and other administration stuff that I don't want to deal with trying to protect our world without.

We could possibly do another PVP map this afternoon until the hmod update if everyone is getting bored with the nether - work as a team to build castles and shit and then go to war, all with legitimately obtained materials and possibly a small war kit of a sword and a few TNT.

Gotcha.  Makes sense.

That could be fun.

I can move spawn for you regardless of the mod working or not, I can also do it much more quickly than running to a new spawn and using a command to set it, if you'd like. All I'd need is the map, what compass direction you want the new spawn in, and how far.

So turtle, how much of the nether did you explore?
Enough to die about 7 times and get to the refugee before the road was made

Duck, Duck, Goose
