Got really baked, and set Zune to play Pendulum's discography on shuffle. Named the world Pendularium (as well as the seed). ¯\(°_o)/¯
Started off, looked like a pretty crappy place, it was all snowy and barren, so I ventured into the dawn. I ended up passing a massive hole/cave with some visible iron, so I was pretty happy that there were trees just over the mountain. Found a bunch of caves and actually got attacked by two damn skeletons and was left with 1.5 hearts. Found a sweet place to settle and build a little 4x3 shack. Turned into a massive race against time to succeed in getting light for the night, but I managed to get a furnace and burn a log just in time. Epic first day imo.
I ended up building a bed and spending some time on the aesthetics of my shack the next day, as well as connecting the pond at the top of the mountain to the pond at the bottom via epic waterfall that I had to build a fairly lengthy wall for. The next day I ended up grabbing the iron (which turned out to be a vein of 8!) and returned to find a lone wolf at the bottom pond. I tamed it with a single bone that I had from my day 1 encounter with the skeletons. First wolf I've ever seen in Minecraft.
tl;dr I played Minecraft again and it wasn't boring :o
