cz is one of my favorite maps, but it normally sucks fast because of a perfect shitstorm of: New to the map people complaining omg I'm lost this is stupid, those fucks quitting, those fucks staying and being a worthless teammate and ruining the game for the team, and pansies.
We should reserve like 5 minutes or so for everyone to run around as scoot no shooting to at least try to get some kind of a mental grasp on the layout, I think that would go far toward increasing the amount of smart people who appreciate such a quality map.
Not to sound like "one of those fucks" but I'm glad I'm missing CZ, tonight. I'm really not a fan of unfocused deathmatching. It seems like the ADD kid's TF2 map. Without a clear goal in sight (yeah, cap all six seems like a goal, but it's not a very good one), the map seems endless and boring.
*cue someone bitching at me for calling it "unfocused deathmatching" and trying to defend it*
I won't be there, by the way. Going to see Weird Al, tonight.

I have (way) too much nostalgia concerning TFC, but my god were there so many good times, it's so hard to recapture.
Did any of us who used to play TFC ever play on a server named "The Grinder" ? - it was my home server for as long as I played, with a clan named GABO.
Hell, I still e-mail a guy named Rick I met there regularly, I've known him for over a decade now.

Every map except badwater is infrequently played, no one ever downloads maps anymore.
