No... The game keeps freezing and giving me "retrying connection to server." Even when it's not doing that, everyone's voices are either muted or garbled and I keep on lagging. Makes the game completely unplayable.

This issue occurs in L4D2 too, and it's intermittent. I've done the basic stuff, like verifying the integrity of the game cache, using performance maximizing configs, and so forth. The more advanced solutions I've found online have to do with port forwarding, which I'm pretty sure I can't do since I'm on a university network. Last time I had these issues was a week or two before spring break and then mysteriously disappeared once I returned, so I'm guessing there is increased traffic once finals start rolling around or that there is throttling going on. In which case I'm probably fucked.
